Entering Discrepancy Codes—Exercises

Main Exercises

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to define all the available discrepancy codes available for the disposition process.

Windows:
Repair Setup Basic Data/Discrepancy Code

  1. Create a new record (F5).
  2. Enter a new discrepancy code as listed below.If these are already in the table them add one with your initials.
  3. Save the record(F12).
  4. Repeat Steps 1-3 for all records in the table below.
  5. Later you will add tie discrepancy codes to your parts.
Discrepancy Code Description
1 Minor Discrepancy 1
2 Minor Discrepancy 2
3 Minor Discrepancy 3
11 Minor Discrepancy 1
12 Minor Discrepancy 2
13 Minor Discrepancy 3

Note:Discrepancy Code is used to determine what which type of discrepancies will be allowed for each part of an assembly.This way a customer can track what problems have been found in its parts.
