Define Block Order

Explanation

This activity is used to define the order of appearance for blocks registered in a document template. Blocks are used for storing and controlling the document content and defining the order of their appearance means deciding the document structure.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, blocks are required to be registered in a document template.

Procedure

  1. Open the Document Basic Data window and find a document in which the block order needs defining.
  2. Go to the Block Order tab and in the Block Id field, select an id of block which you want to have in the document. You can also use the list of values.
  3. For the selected block, specify a number for the order of appearance in the Block Order field.
  4. If lines in the selected block have conditions which may not be fulfilled while generating a document, select a function and parameter in the Function Id and Parameters fields. You can also use the list of values.
  5. Save the information.
