Publish Financial KPI Definitions

Explanation

This activity is used to publish all active Financial KPI Definitions in the target OLAP cube as calculated measures.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• Configuration Settings must be have been defined, i.e. SQL Server database and servers
• Active and valid Financial KPI Definitions must be available in the current cube definition.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Before publishing all measures will be validated to makes sure that they can be transferred.
• The target OLAP cube will be updated with new calculated measures that represent the Financial KPI Definitions in the current cube.
• The new measure can be used directly by e.g. opening the Analysis Services cube in MS Excel 2013

Procedure

To perform this activity,

1. Open the OLAP Cube Set Up window.
2. Populate the window with the required Cube ID.
3. Right click and select Publish All KPIs
4. After confirmation, start accessing the cube
