Define Configuration Settings

Explanation

This activity is used to configure access information to SQL Server where the BI Analysis Package has been installed.

The configuration includes the following mandatory settings:

In a standard case the BI Analysis Package is installed on a single Microsoft SQL Server and will contain both the SQL database and the Analysis Services OLAP cubes. Financial KPI definitions in IEE are transferred to the SQL database and are used to build valid OLAP cube measure definitions that can update a given cube in a given cube database on the SSAS server. The cube database will normally be one defined when installing the BI Analysis Package but it is possible to access another existing (and relevant) OLAP cube in another cube database on the supplied SSAS server.
