Register Variable Parameter for Document

Explanation

This activity is used to register parameters in a variable data document. Registered parameters can be assigned to employees and then used in payroll calculations.

In order to perform this activity, a variable data parameter is required to be registered in the system

Procedure

  1. Open the Variable Data window and find a variable parameter document in which you want to register parameters for employees.
  2. Create a new record to add an employee and to connect the employee with the variable data parameter.
  3. In the Employee No field, specify the employee ID. Alternatively, you can select the ID from the list of values.
  4. Select the ID of parameter you want to register in the Parameter ID field. You can also select the ID from the value list.
  5. In the Value field, enter a value for the parameter .
  6. Choose the effective date for the parameter in the Parameter Derivation Date field if it is different from the parameter derivation date of the document.
  7. In the Description field, enter a parameter description which may be useful for accounting purposes and for pay slip information.
  8. Save the information.
