Register Variable Data Document

Explanation

This activity is used to register a variable data document. The variable data may be overtime work, working hours, a bonus payment or a project commission that the employee receives occasionally. This could also be payroll adjustments and corrections. The parameter can be specified as a value. Variable data type parameters are grouped into documents.

Procedure

1. Open the Variable Data window.
2. Create a new record in order to define a new document.
3. Specify the unique document ID in the Doc No field.
4. In the Doc Name field, specify the name for the document.
5. Select the date on which the parameter is valid in the Par Deriv Date field.
6. In the Payroll List ID field, specify the ID for the payroll if the document needs to be bound permanently. Note that such permanent binding serves to calculate additional payroll elements which are usually outside the payroll period.
7. Save the information.
